Our fingerprint and document examination services are conducted by Kurt Kuhn. He is a retired Senior Forensic Specialist for the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Kurt Kuhn has over 30 years as a fingerprint examiner and in excess of 20 years of experience in conducting questioned document examinations. He is a member of the International Association for Identification, California State Division of the International Association for Identification and the Southern California Association of Fingerprint Officers.

Fingerprint examinations can include crime scene investigations, as well as the processing of items for fingerprint evidence in the laboratory and the subsequent comparison of the developed evidence against known fingerprint exemplars. An average case can involve approximately 3 to 4 hours of processing and/or examination time.

Document examination can include a variety of tests. Typical examinations include determination of the authenticity of a signature, examination of handwriting and/or hand-printing appearing on anonymous notes or letters (this may be in conjunction with fingerprint examinations), the determination of addition or page replacements in documents, and the detection of alterations, obliterations and/or erasures. An average case can involve approximately 4 hours to 5 hours of examination time.
